Since the start of my journey when hired at Hôpital regional de Sudbury Regional Hospital in 1990, I’ve been a part of Helpline. It was a new service, only in its second year and growing very rapidly. We quickly realized that our personal emergency response service for seniors was greatly needed in Sudbury as in other Northern communities. So, we expanded… opening Satellites in Blind River, Timmins, Chapleau, Mattawa and Manitoulin Island. The response by seniors, social agencies and community service groups was very positive. We now have the support of a very dedicated team of installers in ten Northern Sattelite locations who provide easier access to Helpline and improved services for all our clients in the North.
