Why is the Volunteer Services Program important at L'hôpital régional de Sudbury Regional Hospital (HRSRH)?
The volunteer program is important to HRSRH. Volunteers are valued members of the hospital team, they contribute skills, experience and compassion to help us provide the best service possible to all our patients and visitors.
The purpose of Volunteer Services is to assist the hospital by maintaining an adequate and competent number of volunteers that compliment and enhance the staff in the delivery of health care. Our role is to heighten the personal well being and comfort of the patients.
Volunteers work in various departments within the HRSRH. Many choose to volunteer their time to patient care areas of the hospital while others choose to work in a more public area such as a Community Greeter. Regardless of the assignment, the goal of Volunteer Services is to make every volunteer experience a positive and fulfilling one.
If you are seeking ways to assist your community hospital, we invite you to explore volunteer opportunities at the HRSRH. You may make new friends, discover new interests, and utilize your own skills and experiences for the benefit of others as well as yourself.
