The Daffodil Terrace Lodge
General Information

The Daffodil Terrace Lodge is a warm and friendly place where you can stay while receiving treatment.

Daffodil Terrace was built, equipped, and furnished by the Canadian Cancer Society. When opened in 1991, it was given to the Ontario Cancer Treatment and Research Foundation (now the Regional Cancer Program) for use by cancer patients. Many volunteers work here with staff to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

Lodging is offered to you at no charge but you must pay for your own meal costs.

A Registered Practical Nurse is on duty 24 hours a day to provide monitoring and assistance as necessary.

Visitors

Visitors may come between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.  In keeping with hospital policy, no children under the age of 12 are allowed. Children between the ages of 13 and 16 years must come with an adult. All visitors should report to the front desk. If you are entertaining visitors please do so in the lounge on the main floor.

Hours of Operation
The Lodge is open from Sunday 3:00 p.m. until Friday 4:00 p.m.  On statutory holidays, the Lodge opens at 3:00 p.m. on the holiday. We ask that you check in prior to 6:00 p.m. if possible. Check out time is 11:00 a.m.

While the Lodge is closed, you may return home, or visit family close by. If you choose to stay in Sudbury for the weekends, Lodge staff can provide you with the numbers of hotels that offer reduced rates.
