The HRSRH has a vision of “leading and innovating for excellence in patient care”. The hospital will respond to changing needs and advocate for resources and services that promote health and wellness in the communities we serve.
The purpose of the Ontario Regulation 429/07 and the Ontarians with Disabilities Act 2005 (AODA) is to improve opportunities for people with disabilities and to provide for their involvement in the identification, removal and prevention of barriers to their full participation in the life of the province. The AODA mandates that all hospitals prepare annual accessibility plans.
To this end, the HRSRH Accessibility Working Group was struck to prepare an annual plan, which involves stakeholders in identifying and removing barriers, which is consistent with the HRSRH vision.
