Relaxation Class for Cancer Patients:
Learn basic relaxation techniques from a professional Social Worker in a supportive environment. Classes are held bi-weekly at the Daffodil Terrace Lodge.
Information sessions on Nutrition DURING treatment:
Learn what to eat to maintain your energy and to get the maximum benefit from treatments, as well as, how to adjust your diet to cope with any side effects of treatment. Classes are given by a Registered Dietitian and held monthly in Supportive Care.
Information sessions on Nutrition AFTER treatment:
Learn what to eat to reduce your risk of recurrence; basic strategies to manage your weight as well as information on vitamins and herbal supplements. Classes are given by a Registered Dietitian and are held quarterly in Supportive Care.
Breast Cancer Information Session:
Patients are invited to join a Social Worker, a Physiotherapist and a Genetic Counselor for an informal talk about the social, emotional and physical issues faced by breast cancer patients. These sessions take place monthly.
Caregiver Information Session:
The objective of this monthly meeting is to provide caregivers with general information on cancer-related issues, community resources, and to address the social and emotional issues experienced while caring for a loved one diagnosed with cancer.
