Welcome

The HRSRH team of physicians, staff and volunteers welcomes you and your family. Our goal is to provide quality, patient-centered care and to ensure that your visit is as comfortable as possible.

We have prepared this section of the web site to answer some of the questions we hear most often from patients and visitors. As always, if you have any questions or concerns regarding services or programs, you are encouraged to ask any member of your health care team.

Visiting Hours

General visiting hours are daily from
11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and
5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Only two visitors per patient will be permitted.
No children under 12 years of age are allowed.
Children 13 to 16 years of age must be accompanied by one adult.
Visiting of patients in the Emergency Department (ED) is determined by ED staff.
Please check with the nursing staff to discuss visiting options for special care areas (such as Labour and Delivery and Post Partum Unit). These visiting guidelines are intended to provide our patients the time that they need to heal and to help us reduce the risk of infection.
The main entrance to the Laurentian site will be locked between the hours of 11:30 p.m. and 06:00 a.m.

It is important to wash your hands before and after visiting. Please use the hand sanitizer solution provided in patient rooms and main entrances.

Cafeteria / Tim Hortons

Cafeteria services for staff and visitors:

Cafeteria services features beverages, sandwiches, hot meals and baked goods. Vending machines containing pop, juice and snacks are also available.

St Joseph Health Centre: 6th floor

Memorial site: Basement level

Tim Hortons

The Laurentian site has two full service Tim Hortons located near the main entrance of the South Tower and the Regional Cancer Program.

Gift Shops

Gift shops are located in the main lobby of each hospital site. Here, you are able to purchase items such as magazines, snacks and toiletries.

The gift shop hours are:

St. Joseph’s Health Centre
Monday to Friday: 7:15 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Saturday: 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Sunday and Statutory Holidays: 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Laurentian Site
Monday to Friday: 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Saturday, Sunday and Statutory Holidays: 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Memorial Site
Monday to Sunday: 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Parking

Pay parking is available at each hospital location at the following rates (please note that the parking machines accept quarters, loonies and toonies only):

St. Joseph’s Health Centre: $4.00/exit

Memorial Site: $4.00/exit

Laurentian Site: $4.00/exit

Cell Phone Policy

Please be advised cell phones and other wireless devices are restricted in all patient care areas of the hospital.

Please limit the use of these devices to entrances, lobbies, and cafeterias.

Support a Scent-Free Environment

To protect the health and well-being of our patients, visitors and staff, the HRSRH kindly requests that you do not wear or use any scented products while on hospital property.

Scented products linger long after an individual leaves an area. This can cause allergic reactions and respiratory distress for patients, visitors and staff.

Your co-operation in assisting the hospital to promote a fragrance-free environment is appreciated.
